These are the checks behind a Pushiro story and the standards we use when something goes wrong.
Accuracy
We check names, Japanese spellings and dates against primary or authoritative sources whenever possible. We also verify affiliations and release details. Direct quotations need the same care. A headline should say what happened without stretching what the source actually supports.
Announcements can change quickly. If a detail isn’t confirmed, we say so. We don’t turn speculation into fact, and we update stories when reliable new information appears.
Sources and credit
For basic facts, we start with the model or agency. We also check announcements from publishers, retailers and event organizers. Established reporting can add context. Stories should make clear where important claims came from and link readers to the source when useful.
We don’t copy another outlet’s reporting or pretend its access was ours. If Pushiro summarizes an interview conducted elsewhere, we credit the interviewer and publication. We only call something a Pushiro interview when we conducted it.
Language and names
Pushiro publishes in English, but Japanese names and titles are kept when they help readers identify the person or release. Translations should preserve the original meaning rather than make it sound more sensational. When several romanizations exist, we use the form preferred by the person or agency. Other known forms may be kept as aliases.
Privacy and dignity
Pushiro covers documented adults and does not publish explicit sexual content. We avoid demeaning descriptions and unsupported claims about anyone’s private life. A public social post may be relevant, but that doesn’t make every personal detail newsworthy.
Model profiles collect reliable public information and related Pushiro coverage. Similar names, stage-name changes and group identities need extra checking.
Photography
Images must be relevant to the story and must not be altered in a misleading way. We keep source, credit and rights information when it is available. A credible copyright, privacy or attribution complaint may lead us to replace or remove an image while we investigate.
Social embeds remain under the control of the platform and original account. A credit or embed does not transfer ownership to Pushiro.
Editorial independence
Editorial coverage is not for sale. We disclose gifts and paid travel. We also flag affiliate links, sponsorships or any other tie that could change how a reader understands a story. Advertising and shop activity must remain clearly separate from editorial work.
Corrections
We add a dated note when a mistake materially changes a story. Small spelling, formatting or link fixes may be made without one. The full process is on our Corrections page.
