These Terms of Use govern access to pushiro.com and the Pushiro account, private favorites and newsletter features.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By accessing or using Pushiro, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Accounts and account-based features are available only to people who are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.
Pushiro is an independent English-language publication about Japanese gravure. The service is not directed to children.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information, use an email address you are authorized to use, keep your password confidential, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security.
One person may not create accounts to evade a restriction or interfere with the service. Notify [email protected] promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may require email verification, password changes, or other reasonable security steps.
Creating an account does not subscribe you to a newsletter or other marketing. Newsletter signup, when available, is separate and requires confirmation.
3. Private favorites
An account may maintain one private, ranked favorites list, subject to the displayed limit. The list is available only through your signed-in account. Public profiles, unlisted links, and list sharing are not available. List sharing was retired on 3 October 2026. Inactive model profiles may remain in your private list but are not available to browse until restored.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Pushiro to:
- break the law, violate another person's rights, or encourage harmful or unlawful conduct;
- impersonate another person or organization, misrepresent affiliation, harass, threaten, stalk, or expose another person's private information;
- publish spam, deceptive promotions, malicious code, explicit sexual material, or any sexual or exploitative material involving a minor;
- infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, database, or other rights;
- probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, rate limits, access controls, availability, or other users;
- use automated means to scrape, copy, or extract the service except for ordinary search-engine indexing or as expressly permitted in writing or by applicable law; or
- use account creation or any other feature abusively or fraudulently.
5. Editorial content and intellectual property
Pushiro and its licensors own the site design, compilation, software, and original text, graphics, and other materials, subject to rights in credited or embedded third-party material. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to access the service for personal, non-commercial reading and use.
Unless permission or applicable law allows it, you may not republish, sell, create a substitute database from, remove notices from, or commercially exploit Pushiro content. Linking to public pages and making lawful quotations with appropriate attribution are permitted. Names, logos, images, and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners.
Editorial content is provided for general information and commentary. Publication does not imply endorsement by a featured person, agency, publisher, photographer, or brand unless expressly stated. To raise an accuracy, rights, or attribution concern, contact [email protected].
6. Third-party services and links
Pushiro may link to or embed services and content operated by others, including social-media posts and source materials. Third parties control their own services, availability, data practices, and terms. A link, citation, or embed does not by itself mean that Pushiro endorses or controls the third party.
7. Reports and enforcement
To raise a safety, rights, privacy, or account-abuse concern, contact [email protected]. We may investigate, preserve relevant records, ask for more information, suspend or disable an account, or refer a matter to appropriate authorities.
We may take action without advance notice when reasonably necessary to address security, legal, or safety risks. Moderation decisions involve judgment; we do not promise to remove every item someone objects to. Account holders may contact support about a decision.
8. Availability, changes, and termination
Features, profile availability, article availability, and model information may change. We may maintain, update, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service. We do not guarantee that favorites, ranks, profiles, links, or other data will always remain available, so do not use Pushiro as your only copy of important information.
You may stop using the service at any time and may delete your account through the account page. We may restrict or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, or materially interfere with the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual-property protections, disclaimers, liability limits, and general terms—will survive.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Pushiro is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, continued availability, or suitability of editorial or third-party content.
To the extent permitted by law, Pushiro is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or harm caused by third-party services, user material, or unauthorized access outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence, or any mandatory consumer right.
10. General terms, governing law, and contact
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement for the services they cover. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or this agreement without our consent; we may transfer the agreement as part of a lawful reorganization or transfer of the service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory protections of your place of residence continue to apply where they cannot be waived. Disputes will be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction in Japan to the extent permitted by applicable law. Before filing a claim, we encourage you to contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.
We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. The revised Terms will show a new effective date. When required, we will provide additional notice or ask account holders to accept the revised version. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to [email protected].
