Eye Factory Co., Ltd. of Nakano, Tokyo, will release gravure performer, round girl, and race queen Nao Usami’s latest digital photobook and image video TWO TONE on April 10, 2026, through its new gravure label, First Gravure.
Production approach
High-resolution video supporting up to 8K for a more dimensional expression of the work’s world
First Gravure also places importance on video expression in order to present the appeal of gravure idols more beautifully and memorably. The image video supports high-resolution footage up to 8K, allowing viewers to experience delicate expressions, textures, and the atmosphere of the work with a sense of presence.
Nao Usami draws attention
A presence across gravure and round-girl stages
Nao Usami was born in Tokyo on November 8, 1998. In 2020, she worked as a race queen as a member of SUPER GT’s GAINER sucre, and has since been active broadly in gravure, photo sessions, and event appearances. She has also established a presence as a round girl at combat-sports events including K-1 GIRLS and RIZIN Girl.
Shooting concept
The world of TWO TONE, where coolness and cuteness, strength and sensuality intersect
TWO TONE puts Usami’s duality into its title, offering both cool and soft expressions. It brings together dignified beauty and the approachable side that she shows through gravure in a single work. While centered on her cool features, it carefully depicts different expressions and atmospheres in each scene.
The shoot took place at two studios in Tokyo. Along with her confident strength and stylish presence, the work concentrates her approachable natural side through smiles and soft reactions, as well as a more mature sensuality.
The image video released alongside the photobook lets viewers enjoy, in a more dimensional way, the movement of her gaze, the atmosphere, and her long legs and body line as they stand out in motion, aspects that still images cannot capture. Through both photographs and video, it offers a deeper appreciation of the appeal of Nao Usami as she is now.
Highlights of this work
“What I want you to see is my cool side”: Usami on her confidence in TWO TONE
For this shoot, Usami said, “I was mindful of posing in a way that made my body line look beautiful.” She said she has developed how to present herself through standing poses as a round girl and race queen, and through presentations that make use of her physique in gravure. The accumulation of those experiences appears to have led to the varied expression in this work.
Of the work, she said, “I think it has become a work where people can see both my cool side and my cute side.” She added, “Among those, what I especially want people to see is my cool side,” emphasizing an appeal she has valued.
The outfit she cited as memorable was a shining gold minidress. “I thought it would suit me, and when I actually wore it, it really did feel right,” she recalled, showing confidence in how naturally she could wear the glamorous piece.
On the other hand, she said of the white shorts worn last, “I do not usually wear much white, so it felt fresh, but I realized that this kind of slightly cute pattern suits me too.” Discovering a new side beyond her cool image was also a gain, she said.
For this shoot, wanting to bring out a fuller body, she appeared after gaining 3 to 4 kilograms over her usual weight. Her self-assessment of the shoot overall was “100 points.” Her satisfaction with the finished work and strong confidence in it are evident.
