The announcement comes with two free web projects. A new celebratory short manga explains the story behind its commemorative illustration, while one collected volume of episodes is available online for a limited time. The selection includes the first chapter and Episode 4, which produced the phrase “It’s the fact that it is there that is bad!”

A collaboration cafe is due to open in Osaka on August 26, with reservations beginning August 5. Volume 4 of the manga follows on September 29 and includes the New Year’s weight-gain episode and the Hakata trip arc.

Naoki Shigeno starts a new historical series

Naoki Shigeno, the creator of Nobunaga’s Ninja, begins The Weakest Oda: The Story of Oda Ujiharu in the issue’s opening color pages. The historical four-panel manga turns from Oda Nobunaga to Oda Ujiharu, a warrior described by the magazine as the weakest of the Warring States period.

The issue also includes a new chapter of Chica Umino’s March Comes in Like a Lion.

Umi Shinonome leads the gravure lineup

Umi Shinonome appears on the cover and in the opening gravure feature, photographed by Akihito Saijo. A double-sided clear file featuring Shinonome is included as a supplement.

Karina Nijisaki closes the issue with a gravure feature photographed by Gota Suzuki.
