AKB48's Ayane Takahashi to Release Her Long-Awaited First Photobook on February 28!

AKB48’s Ayane Takahashi, affectionately known as the group’s “baby-faced big sister” as it marks its 20th anniversary, will release her long-awaited first photobook on Saturday, February 28.
Set in a studio in central Tokyo overlooking Tokyo Bay and on Miyako Island, home to some of Japan’s most beautiful beaches, the book is a fantastical volume that follows Takahashi between the everyday and the extraordinary. In the Tokyo shoot, a grand ocean-view setting overlooking the Otemachi skyline creates an exquisite contrast between her smiles and wistful expressions. On Miyako Island, the weather was sunny throughout the shoot, providing an ideal location. From traditional old folk houses and sugarcane fields to upscale villas, dazzling beaches, and secluded spots that are not easily accessible, the book is filled with Takahashi’s precious swimsuit shots amid one spectacular view after another.
She also takes on her first lingerie scene, with an even bolder reveal beyond that. It is a gem of a volume that can be called both a first and a masterpiece.

The shoot took place in Tokyo and on Miyako Island.
My hair was still long when we shot in Tokyo, but there was a little time before the Miyako Island shoot, so I cut it short and went for it!
Both I and the other members always said, “Ayane-chan has a bob image, right?” so I spent a month wondering whether to cut my hair or not. I hope you will enjoy both hairstyles.
Every outfit in every scene felt fresh and became a favorite, but the scene where I am riding a dolphin float at the sea felt like when I had come to Miyako Island with my family before, so I think you will be able to see a natural expression on my face!
Once again, I am truly happy to be able to bring this to everyone in the form of my first photobook!
I do not usually do much gravure work, so this was a very valuable opportunity for me, and it made me want to learn even more than before about being photographed.
We were blessed with good weather throughout the shoot, so I was happy to see wonderful scenery every day.
I would be happy if you turn the pages imagining that you are there with me amid the dazzling, big sun and spectacular scenery.
