The November 5 debut offers seaside and indoor cover portraits across two editions, with identical contents and separate Seven Net postcard bonuses.
Daylight by the sea or a softly lit room? BLTISM VOL.1 gives readers two cover designs to choose from, with Aika Sawaguchi on the front and Ayano Sumida on the back of both editions. Tokyo News Service revealed the finished artwork on October 24, ahead of the print gravure mook’s November 5, 2026 release.
The regular and limited-cover editions each cost ¥1,650 including tax. The publisher confirms that only their front and back cover artwork differs; the contents are the same.

Photographed by HIROKAZU, Sawaguchi’s regular front cover uses a close seaside portrait in pale swimwear. Yellow lettering stands out against the blue-gray water. The limited front cover moves indoors, showing her seated on a bed in patterned swimwear, with peach-colored lettering against warmer surroundings.
Ryoma Kano photographs Sumida for both back covers. The regular version pairs pink swimwear with a red textured outer layer and gray typography. The limited version changes to pale swimwear at the sea after dark, with peach lettering against the nearly black background.
The four finished designs follow the advance photographs in our earlier BLTISM launch story, which introduces the new title and its mix of commissioned shoots and previously unpublished selections.
Sawaguchi opens BLTISM ORIGINAL with a 30-page feature, while Sumida closes it with 20 pages. The accompanying editorial photographs move between Sawaguchi’s seaside setting, a wooden armchair before reddish curtains and pale tiles brightened by a yellow jacket. Sumida’s images include a mirror-side composition and a nighttime portrait illuminated by a sparkler.
Both women have an established connection with the B.L.T. editorial team. Sawaguchi has covered B.L.T., blt graph. and BLT MONSTER, and wrote the essay series Sawaguchi Seikatsu from September 2022 through October 2024. Sumida released her first photobook, PURITY, through the team in February 2023. Her recently released third photobook, Kasumisou, is a separate publication.
BLTISM SELECTION gathers previously unpublished photographs from B.L.T.-brand shoots produced during spring and summer 2026. Its nine featured women are Kokoro Toyoshima, Chitose Yoshino of Amaimono Tsumeawase, Yuzuha Hongo, Yuzuha Saeki, Kokoa Kai of STU48, Nanako Kurosaki, Otono Sakurai, Mai Horai and Momoka Okumura.
A SPECIAL PICK UP section adds unpublished photographs from Miyu Kishi’s second photobook, ME/YOU, released in July. Her ME/YOU another edition digital companion, scheduled for October 28, is separate from this mook.
Amazon Japan and Rakuten Books are the announced limited-cover retailers. They carry the same limited design, rather than different covers exclusive to each store.
