SKE48’s Miyo Nomura to Release First Photobook Beautiful Equation

Miyomaru joined SKE48 at 13 and is now 23. This long-awaited photobook lets fans encounter not only her fully mature side but also a cute side she has rarely shown before.

In a first for her, she has also taken on gravure, which she had kept off limits until now. Until just before costume fittings, Miyomaru had declared, “I will not show even 0.01 millimeters of skin!” But she changed course, saying, “I am truly happy to be able to preserve the image of my young self as I am now.” She generously reveals an uninhibited side of herself.

She was particular about every detail, from the costumes to the hair and makeup, and was photographed in styling she was satisfied with. She also participated deeply in the production, actively sharing her views on photo selection, layout and composition. The result is a first photobook filled with Miyomaru’s appeal to mark the 10th anniversary of her debut.

The shoot took place in Phuket, Thailand, at a villa with an infinity pool on an expansive property where guests travel by cart, and at a resort hotel near Patong Beach.

The preview images include a rear shot in red lingerie, the color of her penlight, and a red-skirt look. Also unveiled are mature black lingerie while holding roses, a light-blue swimsuit with a glimpse of her beautiful cleavage, and a white dress as she plays on Patong Beach. She is also shown in a custom pink idol costume that she designed herself for this photobook.

She also tried leopard-print cosplay, something she had always wanted to do, and a bath scene with roses floating in the water. The book includes many rare photographs of Miyomaru, who had never done gravure before, and has been finished as a special volume packed with an irresistible sense of exclusivity for fans and non-fans alike.

The regular edition cover shows her in black lingerie holding a fur coat, an image Miyomaru herself wanted for the cover. The title, Beautiful Equation, was given by Yasushi Akimoto to express Miyomaru’s appeal.

There are three cover designs: the regular edition, a Seven Net Shopping limited edition and an HMV&BOOKS online limited edition.

Customers who purchase through Amazon, Seven Net Shopping, Rakuten Books, Junkudo Bookstore Nagoya, TSUTAYA EBISUBASHI in Osaka, SHOWROOM or Kadost will receive a limited-edition photo as a bonus.

Handover events to celebrate the release have also been set. Events with limited bonuses will take place at Junkudo Bookstore Nagoya on Saturday, June 27, 2026; Maruzen Nagoya Main Store on Saturday, July 11; and Junkudo Bookstore Ikebukuro Main Store on Saturday, July 18.

In addition, photobook panel exhibitions will be held at Junkudo Bookstore Nagoya from Monday, June 15 through Sunday, July 12, 2026, and at TSUTAYA EBISUBASHI in Osaka from Monday, June 15 through Sunday, July 5. A prize campaign in which visitors can win signed panels from among those on display will be held at the same time.

The release of Miyo Nomura’s first photobook has been decided!

It has been 10 years since I became an idol.

I have stayed firm in saying no to swimsuits, and I think this will be the only book, before or after, in which I reveal myself this much.

Somewhere in my heart, I had always given up, thinking that I would never put out a photobook in my life, that it was absolutely impossible for me.

But because there are all of you who support me, something this incredible is happening now.

Thanks to all of you, I am truly happy to be able to preserve the image of my young self as I am now.

It is a treasure for life. This is a special book for me, tightly packed with pages that are sure to speak to someone’s particular taste.

Miyo Nomura (Nomura Miyo) was born February 1, 2003, in Ichinomiya, Aichi. She joined SKE48 as an eighth-generation member in 2016, and the unit Coming Flavor began activities in 2019.

In 2021, she made her first selected-member appearance on SKE48’s 28th single, Ano Koro no Kimi o Mitsuketa. In 2022, she ranked first in the AKB48 Group x Ray exclusive-model audition and began working as a Raygirl. In 2025, she joined amshy, an esports team made up of current SKE48 members. A central member of SKE48, she leads the group and appears in many fashion shows. Her strong proportions have become a topic on social media as an “Aikatsu figure.” She marks the 10th anniversary of her activities this year.
