Since her gravure debut in 2018, Teramoto swept the scene with her overwhelming “powerful figure.” In recent years, she has established a firm position as an actor, and now, as the culmination of her 10th year, she returns by choice to gravure as a form of expression.

The location selected for the shoot was Western Australia. Amid its magnificent natural surroundings, the “treasure of the Reiwa era,” more beautiful and bolder after five years, takes on not only swimsuit and lingerie shots but also braless and nude-style shots in this ambitious work.

Advance cuts are also available on the photobook’s official X account, @rio_photobook. Further information about the photobook and behind-the-scenes shots are scheduled to be updated there from time to time.

Comment from Rio Teramoto

Impressions of the photobook location shoot

The location was Perth, Australia. Encouraged by the dazzling midsummer sun, I photographed while feeling nature’s energy with my whole body. There was also a nostalgia that made me recall how I felt when I first took on gravure, and it was a time when even my heart felt free. In this place where time passes leisurely, having my true self captured made it an unforgettable shoot.

Highlights of the photobook

At the milestone of the 10th anniversary of my debut, I have returned to gravure for the first time in five years. The 10 years felt long, yet went by in an instant. During the time I kept walking while feeling my way forward, this became a book in which who I was then and who I am now intersect. I was involved from the production stage, and filled it with careful attention to every detail, from unadorned, natural expressions to the mature appeal I can express only now. It is a book I can confidently deliver, into which I poured everything.

A message to readers

I have kept you waiting, but I am sincerely grateful to everyone who waited for me. It is because everyone has always watched over and supported me that I was able to reach the milestone of my 10th anniversary. I have filled it with all of who I am now, both the parts that have changed and the parts that have not. I would be happy if this book could become something special for you, connecting the time up to now with the time to come.
