Kumiko Takeda’s career spans acting, singing and a long sequence of photobooks, beginning with her screen debut in the 1982 film High Teen Boogie. Born in Aichi Prefecture, she moved to the United States in 1999 and lives in San Diego. Kodansha published Sango in September 2026, her first photobook in 23 years, with photography by ND CHOW.
