The gravure magazine Gravure Champion Vol. 11 from the editorial department of Weekly Shonen Champion goes on sale Friday, January 30.
This issue is a Sakurazaka46 special! Aiki Taniguchi and Yu Murai appear on the cover and back cover.
Gracing the cover and opening feature is Aiki Taniguchi, the center of the 13th single’s BACKS. Alongside an extra-long opening gravure feature, she also gives an extra-long interview about how she has changed since joining Sakurazaka46, her feelings toward the other members, and BACKS LIVE!!, where she served as leader for the first time.
The back cover and closing feature spotlight Yu Murai, who served as the center for the title track of the 13th single. She is also featured in a long gravure feature and a long interview.
With a double-sided poster of Aiki Taniguchi included, this is truly a major Sakurazaka46 special.
“Thank you very much for the cover shoot! I think my expressions may have become richer than when I first appeared a year and a half ago. Before joining Sakurazaka46, I was often told that it was hard to read my expressions, but gradually I have become able to show my emotions on my face, and perhaps I have become able to smile well. Please take a look.”
“At an inn surrounded by nature, I was able to feel as if I had really gone on a trip! Having natural moments photographed, like drying my hair with a hair dryer, was also something that had not happened much before, so it felt fresh.”
The rest of the lineup is also exceptionally lavish. Ririka Fukui and Miu Shirahama, who are taking the gravure world by storm, appear, as does highly anticipated gravure newcomer Misaki Sawa, making her first appearance in Gravure Champion. Popular voice actors Seri Miyano and Mayu Sagara also appear.
The images of the chain bonus postcards are here. They are available while supplies last.
Available at select stores only.
