Beginning with vol.80, the series I Want to Meet You Again in 10 Years was launched as a special project marking AKB48’s 20th anniversary. It focuses on members who will lead the group into its 21st year. For its fifth installment, the feature welcomes Eriko Hashimoto and Momoka Hotei, 17th-generation classmates who are both from Kansai.

Known by the nickname “Hoteeri” and close friends in private as well, the two appear together in a gravure shoot for the first time. They show a wide variety of coordinated looks, including dresses like twin outfits incorporating each of their penlight colors and playful pajamas. The feature captures their gentle, natural world and the comfortably relaxed atmosphere between them in full.

The interview offers plenty of glimpses into the deepening bond unique to classmates, including memories from just after they joined the group, behind-the-scenes stories from their easygoing conversations in the Kansai dialect, and songs they would like to perform together in the future.

Amazon.co.jp will also offer an item that includes a bonus large-format bromide with an exclusive design.

Gravure The Television vol.84 goes on sale Friday, May 29. Yuka Iguchi appears on the cover.
