Familiar places and changing expressions
The shoot took place in South Korea, where Han grew up and has long based her career. Takarajimasha describes a documentary-style approach that moves between her identity as a performer and everyday moments in familiar surroundings, including Han River Park and cafés.
The advance photographs show that range through different compositions. A close portrait frames her face beneath a pale towel, while another shows her smiling with her hands near her mouth as bubbles float against a red background. An outdoor photograph places her on a marked path beneath a bridge, wearing a striped shirt and denim shorts.
A sunlit table provides a quieter setting: Han leans forward with a camera in her hands, beside a drink and a slice of cake. Another portrait uses translucent red fabric across the foreground.
In her comment, Han says she hopes these different expressions will remain with readers as emotions and memories. She explains that the book reflects several aspects of herself rather than defining her through one image.
Han debuted with KARA in 2007. Alongside the group’s music activities, her career includes solo work and acting.
