One final FRIDAY feature leads into two different versions of Harumi Inoue’s farewell to gravure. She appears in the magazine’s July 16 issue for what the publisher calls her “last gravure,” returning to the format 27 years after her previous gravure photobook.

Kodansha follows that appearance on August 7 with Inoue’s first digital photobooks, released simultaneously. Le Rouge et le Noir places her in a New York-style studio, using modern interiors, sharp dresses and lingerie. A Certain Woman moves to an inn in Izu, where the photographs use a private-trip premise across post-bath, lingerie and camisole scenes.

The two settings give the project a clear split: controlled studio light and fashion-led styling in one volume, then the rooms and atmosphere of a historic hot-spring town in the other.

Inoue made her idol debut in 1991 with Sakurakko Club Sakuragumi and went on to work in television drama, film and gravure. She moved to Kumamoto Prefecture after having children and continues entertainment work in Tokyo.
