Konoka Matsuda of Hinatazaka46 Covers Weekly Shonen Champion No. 9 in Her Final Idol Gravure Feature

“The day of the graduation ceremony has finally arrived. Please be sure to see my final gravure feature as an idol!!”

Akita Shoten Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo; President: Tokuji Yamaguchi) announces that Konoka Matsuda of Hinatazaka46 will appear on the cover and in the lead gravure feature of the No. 9 issue of its weekly boys’ manga magazine Weekly Shonen Champion (editor-in-chief: Hideo Matsuyama), on sale Thursday, January 29. The issue will also include a double-sided BIG poster and a giveaway of limited-edition QUO cards for 200 winners.

Konoka Matsuda will graduate from Hinatazaka46 at the graduation ceremony held on January 29, the issue’s release date, and takes on her final gravure feature as an idol in Weekly Shonen Champion. Under the theme “Morning of Graduation,” the feature captures her lost in thought on a bed and smiling in a pink dress in her penlight color. Please take in Konoka’s final gravure feature as an idol. Thank you for approximately eight and a half years of giving everything as an idol. And please come back to Weekly Shonen Champion again someday. The issue also comes with a double-sided BIG poster as a special supplement and offers a giveaway of limited-edition QUO cards for 200 winners.

Comment from Konoka Matsuda

“The day of the graduation ceremony has finally arrived. I remember being photographed in the final scene, wearing a dressy pink one-piece dress and walking up the stairs, while we talked about how it represented where I am now, moving on to the second stage. Please be sure to see my final gravure feature as an idol!!”
