Although previously unknown, Kojima’s introductory video documenting the audition drew the most views on YouTube’s Weekly Playboy Channel in 2025, with 840,000 views. Her Asian-beauty features, trained and well-proportioned physique, and carefree character, among other qualities, were recognized with the Special Jury Prize.

Details
While she was a university applicant during the audition, she moved to Tokyo in April and entered a university in the city. She has also changed her stage name to Koyu Asahina and will begin her entertainment career with Horipro.
She is a positive, bright, warm “heroine like a hero.” It will be exciting to see what kind of work she shows from here.
Hello, everyone! I am Koyu Asahina, formerly Koyuki Kojima.
I am very happy to be able to share that I have entered a university in Tokyo and, alongside that, passed the audition too, in the form of a double acceptance.
I am deeply grateful that Horipro and Weekly Playboy’s New Heroine PRJECT found me, gave me the opportunity to take on a new challenge, and treated someone who knew nothing with such care from the very beginning.
Everything is new for me: entertainment work, university life, and living alone.
I think I will run into many walls, but I want to grow as I face each one.
And I decided to make a fresh start as “Koyu Asahina.”
I put into the name “Asahina,” which evokes the morning sky and light, the brightness of taking a new step forward and a feeling of moving ahead positively.
“Koyu” comes from the precious given name my parents gave me.
I want to keep the precious meaning I received from my family and continue moving forward as myself.
I will work hard to become someone worthy of that name, and more.
Just as my family and those around me have encouraged me, I want to become someone who can encourage another person. And I will work hard to bring smiles to as many people as possible.
My goals from here are to do gravure work worthy of receiving an award from Weekly Playboy and to keep learning while appearing in a variety of productions.
I would be happy if you continue to watch over me warmly. Thank you!
