Concept
If last year’s “LUCENT” exhibition was an attempt to explore the unseen side of the moon, layers of time and light, then “SILLAGE” is an exhibition that lies along the continuation of that exploration, as it gradually opens out into nature and quietly expands to trees, dunes, and rivers.
The gaze that began in a single room turns toward wind-carved sand, overlapping leaf shadows, and continuously flowing water. The photographs captured there quietly unfold one after another, like an afterglow, a “sillage.”
This exhibition was created as the next chapter in the poetic collaboration between photographer Tim Gallo and Natsuki Sena.
