The magazine’s concept: Five early-summer date stories

The theme of vol.13 is “dates that feel true to life,” perfectly suited to the refreshing season. In five different settings, the performers each show their “absolute cutest” side, in moments that will move not only fans.

1. Runa Ichinose: “Guided by youth.”

Runa Ichinose, whose captivating eyes leave an impression, makes her first appearance in the magazine. Set on a picnic date by the riverbank, the feature includes her playing the guitar, one of her special skills, and her carefree smile as she frolics among rape blossoms. It vividly portrays a sweet-and-sour page of youth, as if you were spending an after-school moment together.

2. Miyu Wada: “Going to a cafe with my super-cute girlfriend.”

Making her second appearance in the magazine, Miyu Wada, who graduated from NMB48 and has begun moving on to a new stage, shows the brighter “now” of herself. From her innocent smile in front of sweet cafe desserts to the mature expression that appears in a fleeting moment, the highlight is the heart-stirring contrast that conveys an intimate sense of distance with her.

3. Nanako Kurosaki: “A casual date with a grown-up Nanako.”

In her second appearance, Kurosaki’s theme is a casual holiday date in a park. The feature delves into her unguarded side as she talks in a relaxed atmosphere about being an avid baseball fan and memories of traveling alone in Paris. It captures where she is now as she has grown, beneath her carefree smile.

4. Masaya Yamaoka: “A sketching date with my girlfriend.”

Masaya Yamaoka, an athlete who reached the best eight in Japan’s junior-high national wrestling selection tournament, makes her first appearance. Alongside gravure that makes the most of her outstanding proportions, she shows the unexpected side of herself as she effortlessly pursues sketching, one of her hobbies. Watch for a fresh contrast with her usual powerful image.

5. Popo-chan: “What should we do next with my pleasantly tipsy girlfriend?”

Popo-chan, who has become a social-media topic as a “beautiful woman who loves alcohol” with five years of experience as a beer vendor, makes her first appearance. With a realistic bar-hopping date as its theme, the feature generously includes everything from her innocent look laughing with a beer in hand to the more mature expression she shows at home, revealing her unguarded side as the drinks keep coming.
