One book, two hairstyles

The photographs follow Nanase before and after she cut her below-knee-length hair in spring 2026. Gothic Lolita clothing, kimono, Chinese-style dresses and Y2K-inspired styling feature in the long-haired shoots. After the haircut, the concepts include European boy-inspired clothing and animal-themed outfits, alongside loungewear and softly styled dresses. The book also documents the haircut itself.

In her supplied comment, Nanase says the collection brings together concepts she wanted to try, recording everything from her longest-ever hair to her short cut.

The three main-book covers make that contrast easy to see. The standard cover uses a close portrait with short hair and pale knitwear. Infosquare’s version pairs her bob with a white blouse beside a window; Amazon’s takes a darker direction, with a lace bonnet and patterned cushion.

Comparing the retailer extras

The publisher says the bonus photographs were newly taken during the book’s shoots. These are the announced configurations and tax-inclusive prices; bonus supplies are limited and offers may change.

  • Animate: The ¥3,960 standard edition and ¥5,170 Animate set both include one L-size photographic print, randomly selected from two designs, with a reproduced signature and comment. The set adds an acrylic keychain featuring Nanase in Gothic Lolita clothing. The prints contrast animal-inspired styling with a white dress and straw hat by the water.
  • Gamers: Both the ¥3,960 standard edition and ¥5,720 limited edition include an A5 eight-page booklet. The limited edition adds an acrylic stand with a white blouse, dark waistcoat and shorts. Gamers Namba and the online shop also list an additional L-size print showing her seated in Gothic Lolita clothing.
  • Infosquare: The ¥3,960 standard edition and ¥11,000 limited edition share the exclusive cover and one instant-photo-style card, randomly selected from three designs, with a reproduced signature and comment. The standard cover is not included. The limited edition adds a B2 tapestry, an A4 sixteen-page additional photobook and three pin badges. The announcement says three-book-set reservations receive all three card designs.
  • Amazon Japan: An exclusive cover, announced at ¥3,960.
  • Seven Net: An L-size print showing Nanase in a blue Chinese-style dress beside a column, announced at ¥3,960.
  • Rakuten Books: An L-size print pairing red gingham with a colorful fish-and-coral backdrop, announced at ¥3,960.
  • HMV: An L-size print showing her holding a clear glass at a wooden table in pale knitwear, announced at ¥3,960.
  • Yodobashi Camera: An L-size print with a plaid outfit and beret on white stairs, announced at ¥3,960.
  • Shosen Group: An L-size print showing her in a striped floral kimono beside the water, with Tokyo Skytree behind her. The announcement gives an expected price of ¥3,960.

The reproduced signatures on the bonus artwork are printed, not handwritten autographs. The Gamers booklet and Infosquare additional photobook are separate extras; their page counts do not describe the main book.

Signing events require a separate application

Animate and Gamers are accepting lottery applications for signing events on January 16, 2027, in Tokyo, and January 17, 2027, in Osaka city. The venues have not been disclosed. Nanase will sign a chosen page and add the recipient’s name.

The announced application deadline is December 13, 2026, with winner notifications expected in late December. A purchase does not guarantee admission: consult the separate Animate application instructions or Gamers event page for qualifying purchases and entry procedures.
