Usako Kurusu is back with a full gravure release. Private AFTERNOON, her first substantial shoot in some time, trades her familiar competition-swimsuit focus for the quieter setting of a traditional Japanese house.
The five-part shoot moves through the day, from bright rooms and an engawa veranda to the softer light of dusk. Black lingerie is among the looks; Kurusu, who has often worn black in earlier DVDs and photobooks, called it “very me.” The book also shows her with longer hair tied up, a change from her usual styling.
